Identification of air leakage in a household heat pump tumble dryer

Leakage of air in tumble dryers is an important parameter regarding the energy efficiency drying process. In general, are prone to leakage, therefore further investigation and optimization this field great interest. This study investigates quantifies leakage within closed-loop system in-situ household heat pump dryer. Each potential location was characterized by curve obtained either isolated or cumulative measurements using pressurization method. Based on static pressure distribution system, outflow inflow were quantified. The at rear front drum seal evaluated with without movement. results indicated highest rate housing, which represents 12,6% total flow system. Sealing housing improved condensation from B A class according IEC 61121.
